Bio

Over the years I have worked with individuals and families in crisis or who are struggling with the pressures of what life can throw at you. We all have lessons in life and if we don’t attend to the patterns and cycles that repeatedly show up in our lives, we will be limited in reaching our potential and personal goals. I believe that we all have within us our own answers and truth. As a therapist, I have the privilege to assist individuals to explore their inner wisdom and discover their unique voice and path of healing. Healing to me, is more than therapy by itself, and encompasses living a mindful and present life and embracing those “life lessons”.

My experience as a mental health counselor includes extensive work with individuals and families throughout the lifespan, providing individual and group parenting instruction, working with victims of abuse and neglect, treatment for substance abuse and adolescents. At New Leaf Counseling, I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and recognize that each individual is unique. I have extensive experience in creative and expressive therapeutic approaches such as art, psychodrama, writing, etc. I am a certified provider of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
