Meet Our Therapists

LCSW

Executive Director, LCSW, ECP

To everyone else, you are the rock. You’re the executive making high-stakes decisions, the competitive athlete pushing through pressure, or the therapist holding space for everyone else’s chaos. People lean on you because you know how to execute, organize, and fix things.

But behind closed doors, you are running on pure adrenaline, trapped in a body that refuses to reset.

Whether it stems from old hurts or recent life crises, unresolved emotional trauma changes how you live. It drives your chronic anxiety, constant overthinking, and an exhausting hyper-vigilance that leaves you feeling like a volcano ready to erupt. As a parent, this weight is amplified. You are navigating the invisible demands of a busy household—constantly trying to decode a child who is wired completely differently, managing intense meltdowns, and keeping your home from fracturing—all while your own nervous system is stuck in survival mode.

When you finally close your bedroom door, the armor comes off and the truth sets in: beneath the strong exterior, you feel completely powerless. Lately, this internal storm is straining your relationships with repeating painful patterns. You just want a safe place to stop running, drop the weight, and finally heal.

The Breakthrough Solution

I bring 20 years of experience to the table, but I don’t do traditional, passive talk therapy. If you just wanted someone to listen, you would talk to a friend. You are here because you want real change. I offer breakthrough trauma therapy and relationship counseling designed to give you noticeable results so you don’t stay trapped in the same painful survival loops.

This is a completely confidential, peer-level space where high-performers, couples, and weary parents can take off the mask, face the places where they feel powerless, and reclaim their strength.

We look at the whole picture—from relationship patterns down to physical wellness, including how nutrition and the gut-brain axis affect your mood. We use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to break painful relationship cycles and bring the warmth back, and EMDR/Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to quickly clear out trauma and anxiety without getting bogged down in months of talking.

The goal is simple: to help you quiet the mental noise, heal the cracks in your marriage, and make your home feel like a sanctuary again. I want you to walk away sleeping peacefully, breathing easier, and feeling genuinely connected to yourself and the people you love.

About Me

For two decades, I’ve been helping clients find their way through complex seasons at New Leaf Counseling. My work is deeply shaped by my own life: I am a former collegiate athlete, a vocal performer, an avid volleyball player, and someone who recharges best by the ocean (usually with excellent Italian food).

Most importantly, I have been married for 22 years and am a mom to five children. Personally parenting neurodiversity every day—navigating the beautiful, chaotic dynamics of both ADHD and autism in my own home—has made me a fierce advocate for families dealing with these unique dynamics. It gives me a deeply empathetic, unfiltered understanding of what it actually takes to manage a large family, support unique minds, and keep a marriage thriving through it all. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, and I hold a deep, respectful understanding of the unique cultural dynamics and spiritual anxieties within the LDS community.

Bio

Over the years I have worked with individuals and families in crisis or who are struggling with the pressures of what life can throw at you. We all have lessons in life and if we don’t attend to the patterns and cycles that repeatedly show up in our lives, we will be limited in reaching our potential and personal goals. I believe that we all have within us our own answers and truth. As a therapist, I have the privilege to assist individuals to explore their inner wisdom and discover their unique voice and path of healing. Healing to me, is more than therapy by itself, and encompasses living a mindful and present life and embracing those “life lessons”.

My experience as a mental health counselor includes extensive work with individuals and families throughout the lifespan, providing individual and group parenting instruction, working with victims of abuse and neglect, treatment for substance abuse and adolescents. At New Leaf Counseling, I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and recognize that each individual is unique. I have extensive experience in creative and expressive therapeutic approaches such as art, psychodrama, writing, etc. I am a certified provider of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
